WELCOME

You are high-achieving, neurodivergent, queer, and exhausted from performing a life that was never quite designed for you.

You are done. Done shrinking. Done waiting for life to feel like yours.

You do not need fixing. You need honest space to figure out what living on your own terms actually looks like, and the support to build it.

At Unique Conversations, we support neurodivergent and LGBTQ professionals and couples, online and in Wigan, to build lives that feel authentic, sustainable, and deeply connected.

How I can Support You

You do not need a generic programme.

You need something built for your unique mind, and the life you are trying to build.

Whether you are navigating a career that no longer fits, a relationship under pressure, or a version of yourself you have simply outgrown, this is where we start: Honest conversations, at your pace with someone who actually gets it.

Here is how we can work together.

1.

Life Coaching

You are capable of extraordinary things. But not like this. You know something needs to change. You are just not quite sure what, or where to start.

Coaching gives you the clarity, the direction, and the practical strategies to stop circling and start moving. We identify what is getting in your way, build on what you already have, and create a plan that works for how you think, not how everyone else thinks you should.

For high-achieving neuroqueers, coaching is where you finally stop masking your potential and start building a life and career that are unapologetically, sustainably yours.

2.

Individual Counseling Therapy

Success can quietly become survival. You never noticed when it happened.

In counselling, we slow down enough to explore what has been holding you back, whether that is past experiences, identity, chronic over/ under performance, or simply the exhaustion of navigating a world that was not built for you.

You will leave with greater self-understanding, stronger self-trust, and a deeper sense of who you actually are.

For high-achieving neuroqueers, counselling is where you take off the armour, make sense of the layers you carry, drop the performance and begin to live in your terms.

3.

Couple & relationship Therapy

From the outside, everything looks sorted, but underneath, something has cracked.

Two exhausted nervous systems, two brilliant minds trying to organise a life that never slows down; Love buried under logistics, stress, and misunderstanding.

Couples therapy gives you an affirming space to stop surviving and start designing a life that restores you both. We work on communication, neurodivergent relational patterns, intimacy, and emotional safety.

For high-achieving neuroqueer couples, therapy is where your relationship moves from merely existing alongside each other to starting to be truly living, together.

My
Story

Claire Duchateau, in a Unique Conversations counselling room

At age 14, I am going through a difficult time. One day at rock bottom, I decide to leave school in the middle of the day.

It could have been the end of the story but it leads me to 3 counselling sessions.

Being listened to was a true gift. It felt so liberating and empowering. It changed me for the better. It was only the start.

In the middle of my story, is a messy part: navigating expat life, coming out and getting to grips with neurodiversity uniqueness.

Twenty years later, I decide that offering hope to others matters too. So I retrain as a counsellor, a couple therapist and a transformative life coach offering services tailored to your needs.

And now let's discover how we can change your story too.

I started having person-centred therapy with Claire after reaching a crisis and feeling extremely low, hopeless and suicidal. I had previously had CBT and compassion-based therapy but felt like I didn't have the experience or tools in my "toolkit" to manage this particular phase in my life. I had lost perspective and could only focus on negative feelings or experiences.

The process required a great deal of self-reflection and was not quick, but by taking the time we were able to get to the bottom of the patterns of behaviour and sensations I was feeling. Claire walked along with me during the journey and made sure I kept perspective, stayed grounded and conscious of how I was feeling. We took this journey at my pace - some times spending a few sessions going around and around the same issue, and other times moving more quickly. Work was done not only in our weekly sessions but also by myself, setting habits, practices and support networks

Now, as I am leaving therapy I feel that I have interrogated the patterns of behaviours and experiences and feelings, and reached a "root cause" for myself. That has been really reassuring and means I feel that I have not only the tools but also the support mechanisms in place to continue to move forwards outside of counselling and to also keep myself safe and content. I feel that I am in a great position to keep perspective and look after myself outside of therapy.
